{"id":2567,"date":"2021-05-27T09:40:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T12:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppa.org.br\/?p=2567"},"modified":"2024-08-29T09:49:00","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T12:49:00","slug":"live-da-ppa-debate-a-investimentos-cadeia-produtiva-da-mandioca-e-seus-diferentes-usos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ppa.org.br\/en\/live-da-ppa-debate-a-investimentos-cadeia-produtiva-da-mandioca-e-seus-diferentes-usos\/","title":{"rendered":"PPA Live debate on investments in the cassava production chain and its different uses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Wednesday (26), the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) held a live broadcast about cassava within the \u201cCampo em Debate\u201d, one of the sections of its first institutional campaign, <a href=\"https:\/\/ppa.org.br\/en\/mosaicodiverso\/\">Diverse Mosaic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderated by F\u00e1bio Deboni, the meeting was attended by Eduardo Figueiredo (Executive Director of the Hydro Sustainability Fund \u2013 FSH) and Joanna Martins (CEO of Manioca). During the live broadcast, the guests discussed topics such as the different uses of cassava and the recovery of traditional Amazonian dishes, as well as the importance of this food and economic base for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CEO of Manioca opened the live broadcast and, in her presentation, talked about her trajectory \u2013 from research into Par\u00e1\u2019s gastronomy to the founding and maturation of the company. She also highlighted the pioneering nature of her impact business in the development of tasty, practical and healthy products from Amazonian ingredients, with an emphasis on cassava. No less important, she spoke about the relationship with communities and the importance of developing this production chain. \u201cMost of our products are supplied by traditional producers. We have a program within the company that guides, trains and provides technical assistance to these producers\u201d, she commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eduardo Figueiredo spoke about Hydro and FSH as relevant institutions for leveraging local businesses, in addition to strengthening supply chains and protecting biomes such as the Amazon. \u201cOur challenge is to use all human, technical and financial resources to contribute to territorial development. Hydro understood that it is possible to go a step further, seeking not only to listen to partners, but to sit down with them and develop guidelines related to the vulnerability of a territory, even if not directly linked to us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are you curious and want to watch the live broadcast in full?
