On this occasion, stakeholders from the Amazonian ecosystem met to discuss this highly relevant biome and its intrinsic opportunities and risks for the country&#039;s sustainable development. The meeting encouraged reflection on how Science, as a guideline between companies and civil society, can leverage the Bioeconomy in the Amazon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event opened with a lecture given by <strong>Carlos Nobre<\/strong> about the concept of Amazon 4.0 and its importance for the conservation of Amazonian sociobiodiversity. In his speech, the Brazilian scientist emphasized the role of companies, institutes and foundations in this mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have to ask ourselves what great potential the standing forest has. PPA and companies have been focusing very carefully on creating ecosystems with innovation, sustainability, innovation and sustainable systems. These are the pillars that we need to apply and develop in the Amazon.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>Carlos Nobre, Brazilian scientist.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>A virtual art exhibition was also held, curated based on initiatives and cultural competitions held by the companies Suzano and Vale. Then, the Executive Secretary of PPA, <strong>Augusto Correa<\/strong>, mediated a panel that featured Giordano&#039;s participation <strong>Bruno Barbosa Automare<\/strong> (Suzano Social Development Manager) and <strong>Patricia Daros<\/strong> (Director of Operations at Fundo Vale).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, company spokespeople discussed cases related to the conservation of Amazonian sociobiodiversity and good practices for valuing the Forest, which they have helped to implement in their institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe face the challenge of a systemic and inclusive vision. We need to build the capacity of organizations to look at the contradictions within themselves, understanding how their businesses relate to the territory and society, based on the premise of effective participation by diverse actors. We do not want to reproduce in the bioeconomy the dilemmas of other models.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>Giordano Automare, Social Development Manager at Suzano.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe want to understand how to provide access to more sustainable production models so that they can scale up into businesses.
