Thus, since 2000 it has been committed to developing sustainable and inclusive economic alternatives for the Amazon. In 2016, in partnership with\u00a0<strong>Cooperative for Consortium and Densified Economic Reforestation (RECA)<\/strong>\u00a0in Porto Velho (RO), launched the first Payments for Environmental Services (PES) project for carbon offsetting within its production chain and family farmers. In 2022, the project proposal was submitted \u201c<strong>Carbon Insetting in Amazon Communities<\/strong>\u201d, which was approved in the \u201cEnra\u00edza PPA\u201d notice, from\u00a0<strong>Partnership Platform for the Amazon (PPA)<\/strong>\u00a0in partnership with\u00a0<strong>USAID\/Brazil<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Bioversity &amp; CIAT Alliance<\/strong>. The project aims to consolidate and expand Payment for Environmental Services (PES) initiatives, based on the conservation and regeneration of forests in areas of agroextractive communities in partnership with Natura.
