The program, launched in 2018, had 3 editions, accelerated 30 Amazonian businesses, invested in 12 of them and was considered the best acceleration program in the North Region of Brazil, according to Anprotec. Almost R$7.9 million was invested, bringing customized options adapted to different types of businesses, with a diversity of sources (private and philanthropic capital) and financial mechanisms. The program was coordinated by<a href=\"https:\/\/idesam.org\/\"><strong>&nbsp;Idesam<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(Institute for Conservation and Sustainable Development of the Amazon) and had strategic and financial support from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaid.gov\/brazil\"><strong>USAID<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(U.S. Agency for International Development), coordinated by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ciat.cgiar.org\/\">Bioversity Alliance \u2013 International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihumanize.org\/\"><strong>Humanize Institute<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Vale Fund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After just over two years accelerating and investing in impact businesses in the Amazon, the PPA Acceleration Program has evolved and transformed into an impact accelerator,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amaz.org.br\/\"><strong>AMAZ<\/strong><\/a>. This emergence can be seen as a natural evolution of the PPA Program, in which the initiative gained new contours and became independent \u2013 coordinated by&nbsp;<strong>Idesam<\/strong>, with the support of strategic partners.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Launched in 2018, it was the first acceleration program for businesses with socio-environmental impact in the Amazon.
