The Platform

Sustainable solutions born in the Amazon

The Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) brings together communities, the private sector, and diverse partners to drive solutions that emerge from the soil of the territories, based on active listening and collective construction. Our purpose is to promote sustainable development, expand local governance, and strengthen production chains linked to the sociobioeconomy.

Our story

Created in late 2017, the PPA was created to mobilize socio-environmental investments in the Amazon and to give visibility to good practices with a positive impact. Since then, the Platform has acted as catalyst for multisectoral partnerships, bringing together communities, the private sector, civil society and technical partners.

With presence in nine territories and results they already achieve millions of hectares under better management and thousands of people benefited, PPA has built a portfolio of programs and projects focused on territorial development, the bioeconomy, and the strengthening of businesses with socio-environmental impact, always guided by the voice of the Amazonian territories.
