Transforming Territories, Regenerating the Future

What is the Conservation that Transforms Program?

THE Conservation that Transforms Program, a global Dow initiative developed in partnership with the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) and the Bioversity & CIAT Alliance, is born from the union between those who live in the Amazon and those who seek to join forces to protect the territory and strengthen future opportunities.

In White Pitch (PA), the call ‘'Local Solutions'’ supports initiatives that value local ways of life, recognize the knowledge of those who care for the forest every day, and expand ways to generate income without sacrificing nature.

The proposal is simple and powerful: to strengthen community organizations and projects that are already making a difference, helping to expand the bioeconomy, restore important areas, strengthen local governance, and ensure that women, youth, indigenous peoples, and other groups in the territory have an increasing voice, autonomy, and the conditions to prosper.

Through social participation, knowledge exchange, and collaborative development, Conservation that Transforms encourages solutions that respect the history of the territory and help keep the forest alive, along with all the people who live within it.

A boost for those who already transform Breu Branco

Initiatives that grow with and for communities

In Breu Branco, many community initiatives have already demonstrated that it is possible to live off the forest with respect, creativity, and cooperation. Now, the public call ‘'Local Solutions'’ It comes as an opportunity to strengthen what is already working and to get ideas off the ground that need support to grow.

It is an invitation for associations, cooperatives, women's groups, youth groups, and indigenous peoples to expand their actions, consolidate their enterprises, strengthen local governance, and achieve even greater autonomy.

With resources, technical support, and spaces for exchange, this is a chance to recognize those who lead the territory's development day-to-day, transforming opportunities into results, caring for what belongs to everyone, and building sustainable paths for the future of the Amazon based on the solutions that emerge here.
