
Organizations selected in the Call for Local Solutions
Community initiatives with direct impact in southeastern Pará are gaining momentum to transform their territories.
The Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA), in partnership with Suzano SA, through the Paricá – Territories in Action program, is pleased to announce the organizations selected in the Call for Local Solutions!
The initiative will provide small-scale funding for innovative community projects aimed at immediate socio-environmental impact in the municipalities of Abel Figueiredo, Dom Eliseu, Bom Jesus do Tocantins, Rondon do Pará and São João do Araguaia. In total, R$239,000 will be allocated to strengthen those who already work directly in the territories.

What is the Paricá Program?
Paricá – Territories in Action is a socio-environmental impact program that drives sustainable development in the Brazilian Amazon, fstrengthening production chains, conserving biodiversity and promoting inclusion and equity.
The result of a partnership between Suzano, the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) and the Bioversity & CIAT Alliance, its first edition operates in five municipalities in southeastern Pará: Abel Figueiredo, São João do Araguaia, Bom Jesus do Tocantins, Rondon do Pará and Dom Eliseu.
The program supports three strategic projects lasting 12 months. The Instituto Fronteiras do Desenvolvimento (IFD) coordinates the project Strengthening Marketing Networks and Opening Markets; Agenda Pública implements Rural Territorial Development through Agroforestry Systems; and Instituto Terroá leads the Co-Labora Project – Promoting a Sustainable and Inclusive Economy.
