The study “"Climate Change and Amazonian Resilience"”, The study, conducted by the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) in 2025, analyzes the main climate impacts in eight territories where the PPA operates or has operated, gathering data and insights from various local actors. The research examines how changes in rainfall patterns, higher temperatures, and extreme events affect ecosystems and communities, and identifies good practices and opportunities to strengthen territorial resilience. The study highlights that initiatives based on the bioeconomy and participatory management contribute to mitigating impacts, generating income, and conserving the forest, while valuing community leadership and traditional knowledge.

Among the solutions identified are the restoration of degraded areas, Agroforestry Systems (SAFs), the use of adapted seeds, and the strengthening of local organizations, with an emphasis on the participation of women and young people. The research reinforces that territorial governance and respect for the “Amazonian time” are pillars for effective climate adaptation, integrating technical and traditional knowledge. By documenting these experiences, the PPA seeks to inspire new policies and partnerships, demonstrating that the protection of the Amazon depends on valuing its peoples and consolidating a sustainable and inclusive development model.
