In its second year of operation, the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) continues to deliver increasingly significant results. The PPA was essential for the development of the Althelia Biodiversity Fund – an impact investment fund that will focus its efforts exclusively on the Amazon. More than that, the fund will prioritize initiatives that contribute positively to the conservation of biodiversity. In addition, 15 new Amazonian startups were selected to participate in the PPA Acceleration Program and joined the 15 accelerated businesses during 2019. Also during the year, the PPA welcomed the support of 12 companies, totaling 39 member organizations in the Platform.
