About the project

Paricá – Territories in Action is a socio-environmental impact program that drives sustainable development in the Brazilian Amazon, fstrengthening production chains, conserving biodiversity and promoting inclusion and equity.

The result of a partnership between Suzano, the Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA) and the Bioversity & CIAT Alliance, its first edition operates in five municipalities in southeastern Pará: Abel Figueiredo, São João do Araguaia, Bom Jesus do Tocantins, Rondon do Pará and Dom Eliseu.

The program supports three strategic projects lasting 12 months. The project Strengthening Marketing Networks and Opening Markets, coordinated by the Development Frontiers Institute (IFD); the Rural Territorial Development through Agroforestry Systems, implemented by the Public Agenda; and the Co-Labora Project – Promoting a Sustainable and Inclusive Economy, led by the Terroá Institute.
