The Acceleration Thesis emerged from a dive into the Amazon context carried out by actors who were extremely qualified for this work – Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA), a private sector-led collective action platform that seeks to foster sustainable development solutions, and the Quintessa, an impact accelerator with over 10 years of experience that works with entrepreneurs, large companies, investors and institutes/foundations promoting innovation, positive impact and ESG agendas.
Through the study, PPA mapped out new possibilities for accelerating different types and stages of socio-environmental impact businesses that operate in/with the Amazon. After a deep dive, the most characteristic challenges of the biome were identified. The Thesis indicates possible paths to accelerate businesses that represent solutions to these challenges, within 4 axes: Bioeconomy, Regeneration and Restoration, Carbon/Climate and Sustainable Supply Chains.
