The first meeting of the 2021 PPA Deliberative Council took place in June. At the time, the councilors validated the Platform Acceleration Thesis, which is being developed with the support of the Quintessa Institute (as the implementer) to identify the possibilities for the PPA to act in different types and stages of socio-environmental projects that operate with and in the Amazon. As the Platform develops to inspire its network, the need to work on improving its governance and, in this way, guarantee the leading role of the private sector becomes clearer. In addition to approving the advances in the Thesis, the Council agreed to hire a consultancy focused on reviewing the PPA's governance structure.
